On Tuesday, "This Is Spinal Tap" star Michael Mckean
broke his leg and got facial lacerations after he was knocked down by a
car in New York City. Soon afterwards, pictures of the bloodied star
lying on a stretcher and sporting a neck brace appeared online,
concerning fans.
The "Laverne & Shirley" actor was walking along a street on the upper West Side when a car drove over a curb and struck him, his rep told TheWrap.com. The rep reassured fans that the 64-year-old actor is "fine" after initial reports suggested he was in critical condition at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital.
McKean's injuries have forced him to pull out of Tuesday night's performance of his Broadway play "The Best Man."
